Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Psychiatry*, Adult (Reno)

The Psychiatry Department at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno Campus, is seeking a full-time psychiatrist at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. The position is responsible for participation in the department medical student, resident and child fellow programs, including supervision of trainees in the general psychiatry residency program (16 residents, accredited for five years). The position will provide educational and administrative service and will be an active agent in developing and maintaining a state of the art teaching program for residents and medical students. He/she will provide direct clinical care in clinical settings affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have MD or equivalent degree and will have completed an ACGME accredited residency in psychiatry by the time of hire. Must be ABPN certified or preparing for certification. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, malpractice insurance, and must be able to be successfully credentialed by Northern Nevada teaching hospitals.

Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience is preferred. Subspecialty training in geropsychiatry, addiction psychiatry or consultation liaison psychiatry desirable.
